Our Design Process

First we discuss what the client needs and in terms of layout, design and functionality. After the requirements are understood, we begin by creating by creating mockups.

1. Mockups Created

The Mockups are basic line drawings, created in Adobe Illustrator, used to represent various page layouts for the site. Usually 3 to 5 main concepts are created to be viewed by client.

2. Color versions of approved mockup

After a mockup is created for the master page (*read more below), we create various colorized versions to determine a color scheme. If there are existing images (provided by client), they can be applied to mockups.

3. HTML/CSS sample master pages are created

A master page is a template applied to all pages for visual consistency across the site. Font and css style choices are determined. Most modern web sites have a basic template applied to their pages.

4. Standard pages are created

After the final Master Page is approved, the regular pages are created, each with the approved master page applied afterward.

5. Custom Graphics (optional)

If custom made images are wanted for the pages, they are then created with Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks (for image maps).

6. Addition of images to pages

Images/graphics are added to pages. Images can also be added by programmer via database (depending on setup).
